La Casa del Cactus was the second villa constructed after the Master Villa, La Casa de La Rosa Rosa.
“La Casa de los Cactus was intended to be a two floor home. But thanks to Tim Wachter, our friend and landscaper, we cut the “head” off it, not to block the view from La Casa de la Rosa Rosa towards San Miguel,” says Owner and Founder, Gloria Belendez Ramirez.
While constructing this villa, a new American resident of San Miguel, Steve, came to visit Gloria, asking her if she would rent La Casa del Cactus to him…and so we had our first “guest”. This is the reason why the Cactus Gardens that surround this garden are named after him, with a Mexican pronunciation: “Jardin Estib”
